The Joys of Pet-Sitting on the Island

Pet-sitting on the island offers me the chance to get up and see the sunrise without having to cross the bridge in the dark.

However, I almost missed this one, because I slept in just a little too long! 
You snooze, you lose! 

But Kosmo isn't about to let me sleep in too late, LOL

Another glorious morning walk...

...followed by some much-needed pool time and sunshine...

The first few days were a bit rainy and cold, but the sun came out the last few days.

When I got back home after a week, 

I found that my own tree had benefited from the sunshine and rain as well!

 

A Day at the Dunes

The beauty of the dunes is something so subtle, and yet so striking.

The tones may be a little dull, especially in the late winter, early spring...

...but it's undeniably there, just the same...

The gentle, sloping hills that speak of windy days and soft breezes 

that have built up day by day...

and wait for a new day to change their shape ever so slightly....

and provide the perfect spot for pensive moments...
