Migration Fallout Begins Soon - A Little Bird Told Me So

Today I went walking at the SPI Convention Center, instead of my usual walks at the Birding Center. 

I have heard that the Convention Center is a real hotspot for birds during the migration fallout, when hundreds of birds, tired from the long flight across the Gulf of Mexico, stop off for a short vacation here on the island before continuing north. 

My first sighting was this little ruby-throated hummingbird.
